The Sacramento Kings will play their final game before the All-Star break tonight as they visit Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

Considering the opposite directions that these two teams are headed in, the Sacramento Kings have actually performed well this season when taking on the Dallas Mavericks. In early December, the Kings went into Dallas without De’Aaron Fox and snatched an unlikely victory after building a big lead early on.

The Mavericks were the better team in the second matchup, though not by much. The game was never really as close as the final score indicates, but Fox was available and went into “takeover mode” in the second half. Unfortunately, it was not enough, and Luka Doncic was able to put up a ridiculous stat line of 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 17 assists.

Players To Watch:

While it would have been nice to see them share a backcourt as teammates, the last matchup between Fox and Doncic was as entertaining a duel as you’ll see in the NBA. The two leaders of their teams went blow for blow, especially during the third quarter. Should Doncic be healthy enough to play, keep an eye out for this matchup again.
