The Sacramento Kings showed promise but fell short against the Miami Heat on Monday afternoon. Here are the player grades.

The Sacramento Kings suffered yet another heartbreaking defeat on Monday afternoon, losing 118-113 to the Miami Heat in overtime. The Kings had plenty of chances to hand Miami just their second home loss of the season, but missed shots, poor ballhandling, and questionable calls all contributed to the final result.

But there were a few bright spots for the Kings, who played very well overall given their recent struggles. Here are the player grades from Monday’s game.

Fox had been one of the lone bright spots during this rough stretch for the Kings, but he struggled in this one. He was just 7 for 22 from the field, including 0 for 7 from beyond the arc. He committed 5 of Sacramento’s 15 turnovers, including an easy pass that bounced off of his hands on what should have been the final possession of overtime. His +/- was a game-worst -16.. PG. Sacramento Kings. DE'AARON FOX. C-

B. Hield struggled with his shot (5 for 17 from deep) but filled the box score and hit a couple of the biggest shots of overtime to keep the Kings in the game. He scored a below-average 20 points, but added 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He played a game-high 43 minutes.. SG. Sacramento Kings. BUDDY HIELD

PF/C. Sacramento Kings. MARVIN BAGLEY. A-. This was Bagley’s best game of the season, putting up 15 points and a season-high 15 rebounds. He had multiple hustle plays and big rebounds that put the Kings in a position for victory. The athleticism that enabled him to be a top prospect was on display throughout the game as well. His putback dunk with 1:22 left in the fourth quarter gave the Kings a 6 point lead lead and should have been the signature moment of a Sacramento victory.

B. Bjelica scored well over his season average with 22 points in this game, but it was his relentless effort on one of the final possessions of regulation that was key for the Kings. He was 8 for 13 from the field, but just 2 for 6 from deep.. PF. Sacramento Kings. NEMANJA BJELICA

C-. Barnes was involved in a big collision early in the game that put his health in question, but he ended up missing no time because of the arm ailment. He played 33 minutes and scored just 11 points on 3 of 11 shooting. Whether or not his struggles were attributed to the injury is unknown.. SF. Sacramento Kings. HARRISON BARNES
