Kings vs. Heat: Odds, Injuries, & Prediction
The Sacramento Kings make the second stop on their five-game road trip tonight as they take on the Miami Heat in South Beach.
The Sacramento Kings come in to tonight’s contest the losers of four straight and 13 of their last 16. They are just a few losses away from looking towards next season, though they are mathematically close enough to make a run should things shift completely.
They will travel to Miami tonight to take on a Miami Heat team that is currently holding on to the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 29-13 record. They have been one of the biggest surprises of the season, and are 18-1 at home so far this year.
Stealing a win in Miami will surely be a daunting task for a Kings team that can’t seem to get anything right lately. But for whatever reason, the Vegas line for this game only favors the Heat by 5-6 points. The Heat are playing on the second night of a back-to-back, but our initial feeling is that the oddsmakers have overestimated the Kings in this game.
We hope not.

Players To Watch:
While his numbers against the Heat do not jump off of the page, De’Aaron Fox has had some of his best clutch plays when playing against Miami. During his rookie season, he had two clutch shots against the Heat in their two matchups. The first came in South Beach when Fox slammed home a putback game-winner in what might be the best highlight of his career. Just a month and a half later in Sacramento, he hit the game-tying, off-balance layup to tie the game at the buzzer and send it to overtime.
We’ll see if Fox has anything up his sleeve for tonight’s contest.
Prediction:
Heat 114, Kings 103
