The Sacramento Kings will play the second night of a back-to-back when they visit Phoenix tonight to take on the Suns.

The story for the Sacramento Kings in tonight’s contest against the Phoenix Suns will be injuries.

Bogdan Bogdanovic has been both nursing and ankle injury and battling the flu and did not travel with the team to Phoenix. He is one of the most important key to the success of the Kings, who on Monday won their first game without Bogdanovic in the lineup. He will likely make his return when the Kings host the Bucks on Friday night.

Another crucial injury watch will be Richaun Holmes‘ shoulder. He injured it in the second half of the Kings’ victory over the Warriors last night and didn’t return to the game. Unlike Bogdanovic, Holmes did travel with the team to Phoenix and will likely be a game-time decision.

Players To Watch

One player who should see a serious uptick in minutes in this contest is Harry Giles. After a 15 game span in which Giles didn’t see a single minute of action, he has played regular rotation minutes in the Kings’ last five games.

His numbers are less than gaudy given that he is averaging about 14 minutes per game, but he brings an energy to the Kings that no one else can provide. He dives for loose balls, fights for rebounds, and shows off his elite court vision with crisp passes a la Chris Webber. His spot in the rotation will be solidified even further if Richaun Holmes is unavailable. Look for Giles to play 20+ minutes in tonight’s game, something he has done just six times before.
