The Sacramento Kings Have A Grand Opportunity To Rebound
By Rafe Wong
The Sacramento Kings have been a mess as of late, but they have not been as bad as the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Now that the holiday festivities are over, we now return to reality where the Sacramento Kings are struggling. Especially this last week, the chemistry of Sacramento has been low and it has cost them crucial losses to inferior teams.
For the Kings to get back into the playoff picture, the team needs to find a way to gain some momentum. It is hard to believe that Sacramento will rebound based on their recent play, but their next opponent in the Minnesota Timberwolves has been dealing with a major slump themselves.
If the Kings were to turn their struggles around, it would be tonight. The Timberwolves have been terrible this month as they are currently in an 11-game losing streak. Not only can the Twin Cities not buy a win, but recently, Minnesota’s star player in Karl-Anthony Towns went down with a knee injury that could keep him out for tonight’s game.
Tonight’s game is not a must-win for the Kings, but it is a game that they better win. It has been bad recently, but Sacramento has a talented roster. The team could make a push for the playoffs this season, but their inconsistency this season has tormented themselves and the fans.
It has been bad for the Kings this last week, but it is not worse than what the Timberwolves have been going through. Hopefully, the Kings take advantage of tonight’s contest and gain some motivation as they have a massive stretch of home games ahead of them.
