It has been bad for the Sacramento Kings as of late, but they have the chance to rebound with their massive homestretch coming up.

The Sacramento Kings have blown some great opportunities recently. With their roster fully healthy now, with Marvin Bagley and De’Aaron Fox recovering from their injuries, it seemed like the Kings would continue to climb up in the Western Conference standings. Instead, the team has lost winnable games against teams like the New York Knicks, Charlotte Hornets, and more which has taken them out of the playoff picture.

Everything is going against the Kings as of late, but with that said, they still have the chance to steer the ship back in the right direction. Based on the team’s next 12 games, 10 of those matches will be located at the Golden 1 Center. Not only will the Kings have 10 of their next 12 games at home, but that stretch will contain a handful of opponents in which I think the Kings are better than in terms of talent.

This is the opportunity for the Kings to show they can be a legit playoff contender. The fans of the Golden 1 Center have always brought the energy and electricity to the arena, and when the Kings are clicking on the court, they can take that intensity to the next level.

When looking at their schedule, I can realistically see the Kings winning 7 of their next 10 home games and 8 of their next 12 overall. That will give the team an 8-4 record which would be huge in their race for the postseason.

My optimism is high, but the Kings have shown me this season that they can compete with any team in the NBA. That being said, they also have shown me that they can lose to any team in the league as well.

Hopefully, the home crowd gives the purple and white some extra life on the court and they can play the way that the team and their fans hoped they would perform before the beginning of the season.

The first match of the homestretch will be against the formidable Houston Rockets. Let us see which Kings team shows up to that game.
