The Sacramento Kings Need Dewayne Dedmon More Than Ever

Bagley Having Trouble Fitting In
Let us examine why this is now an issue. No doubt that Bagley is the most talented big that the Kings have, but based on his skill set, he does not pair well with either Bjelica or Holmes.
If playing with Bjelica, it puts Bagley at the center spot where he has played terribly when in that role, and their collective defense is even a bigger eyesore. If paired with Holmes, it decreases the Kings’ spacing on offense as both players are at their most productive when in the paint. To be fair, the duo of Bagley and Holmes has not been experienced enough, but Luke Walton seems to make it clear through his rotations that seeing those two together will not be a reality.
Not only has the return of Bagley been underwhelming for himself, but both Bjelica and Holmes had been suffering too as both have been stripped of minutes on the court and with each other.
An obvious solution to this problem could be for Bagley to develop faster and be the versatile scorer and defender that his potential calls for. But considering he is only in his second NBA season, it is understandable that he is not there yet.
This leaves for the most realistic way for the Kings to turn their frontcourt woes into an advantage. The way that most of the Kings community expected it to be. Dewayne Dedmon must improve.
