Sacramento Kings’ rising star Marvin Bagley III took another step forward in his return back to the basketball court.

The Sacramento Kings received some good news today regarding their young forward Marvin Bagley III. According to multiple sources, Bagley is now cleared for full-contact activity and will travel to San Antonio to join his team during their road trip. Back in the season opener, Bagley injured his right thumb and has been sidelined since.

What Does This Mean For Sacramento?

Obviously, it is great news that the Kings will be getting Bagley back soon. Especially with De’Aaron Fox out with an ankle injury, the purple and white have been limited in scoring options throughout the season which has hurt their offensive production. With the addition to Bagley, it adds another offensive weapon in the interior and adds more assistance to the rebounding game. Bagley also can create his own shot which is another element of the game that the Kings have sorely missed.

Hopefully, Bagley can come back healthy and continue to be the double-double machine that he showcased to be in the 2018-19 season. Last campaign, Bagley gave the Kings and their fans optimism as he was a player on the rise. Every game it seemed like the 19-year old at the time improved at least one aspect of his game and was going to be a core piece to the Kings’ rebuild going forward. Kings fans are hoping he remains to be that guy and help the Kings on their current run for the playoffs.

During that season, Bagley averaged around 15 points and eight rebounds a game while making around 50% of his shots from the floor.
