5 Things Sacramento Kings Fans Should Be Thankful For
By Rafe Wong
The Sacramento Kings and their fans have faced some obstacles in the early season, but with that said, there have been good moments from the year that they should be thankful for.
The Sacramento Kings have experienced ups and downs from the season so far. To start the campaign, they began winless in their first five games and lost one of their star youngsters in Marvin Bagley III due to a thumb injury.
Once November came along, however, the Kings started to find their rhythm. After making some alterations to the starting lineup, and the players collectively competing with more energy, the team has rebounded from their dreadful start as they have gone 7-5 since.
But even with the Kings bouncing back, they continued to get hit with unfortunate events. Core players like De’Aaron Fox and Bogdan Bogdanovic have been sidelined with injuries and the team has also been constant victims of miscalls by referees during pivotal moments in games. And with the purple and white entering this year with the mentality of playoffs or bust, they are currently looking outside from the playoffs with a record of 7-10.
There is still hope that the Kings can achieve their goal of making the playoffs this season. But based on how they have performed so far, the team and their fans cannot be satisfied. With that said, however, there have been blessings that the purple and white have experienced throughout the first month of the season, and since today is Thanksgiving, I would like to share those blessings.
