Dewayne Dedmon
When the Sacramento Kings signed Dewayne Dedmon, they hoped that he would be an upgrade from Willie Cauley-Stein at the starting center spot. Unfortunately, that has not been the case in the beginning stages of the season.
In terms of expectations, Dedmon has been a big disappointment. After having a career season with the Atlanta Hawk last year, where he averaged around 11 points and eight rebounds a game, he has taken a huge dip as a member of the Kings.
As someone who is known to be a solid rebounder, great rim protection, and occasional sharpshooter from the perimeter, Dedmon has greatly underachieved as he is contributing just five points, five rebounds, and under one block a night while making just around 33% of his shots from the floor and 21% from three.
I do expect Dedmon to turn around his season. It is still early and he has shown signs of becoming more comfortable with his new teammates and Luke Walton’s system. With De’Aaron Fox out, Dedmon is a player that needs to step up during his absence.
So far it has been a nightmare with him during these 10 games.
