Player #1: De’Aaron Fox
Although De’Aaron Fox underachieved to his expectations, he was still one of the best players on the Sacramento Kings in October. Whenever the purple and white were playing well, it was usually because Fox was on the court.
In the five games he played, he averaged around 16 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and one steal per contest. He also shot around 39% from the floor, 35% from the three-point line, and 72% from the free-throw line.
Yes, there were negatives to take away from Fox’s month. There were times where he did not push the pace often enough, struggled to make shots, and turned the ball over at a high rate. But compared to most of his teammates, he was efficient and a guy that the purple and white heavily relied on.
The team went as far as Fox went. When the speedy guard was rolling on both ends of the court, the Kings collectively played their best basketball. Even though the team was terrible, they did show some good moments as they had teams like the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers on their toes. And De’Aaron deserves credit for those few good spans of basketball.
