Q5: How Many Games Will The Kings Win & Will It Be Enough For The Playoffs?

Nunes – “This is the question of the year that I and so many Kings’ fans have trouble answering. One week ago, I had Sacramento at about 40 wins and the 9 seed. Today, I have talked myself up an entire 6 more games and overtaking the ridiculously top-heavy Golden State Warriors. I will have a set yes or no come Wednesday morning (that you can hear on the Kings Pulse podcast), but for now, I have Sacramento sneaking into the postseason as the 8th seed with 46 wins.”

Singh – “I think the Kings will get 47 wins, but they will be 1 game short of the playoffs. I still got the Spurs ahead of them…The Warriors also could be at the lower end of the conference…I have a feeling that Stephen Curry could help them remain in playoff position. Also if Kristaps Porzingis can show that he can come back from injury, then the Mavs could be a real threat in the west as well.”

John Kelly – “The Kings will finish .500 with a record of  41-41. If Walton does translate better team defense on the court. If the Kings can steal more of the 50/50 games in which the opponent is equal in talent, it could propel them to the 50 win threshold.”
