Buddy Falls Short Of The All-Star Game

In my opinion, there are three players on the Sacramento Kings that have the potential to make an All-Star in their careers. Those three guys are Marvin Bagley III, De’Aaron Fox, and Buddy Hield.

Although I think Buddy might get the chance to play with the league’s best, it will not happen this season. Maybe if Buddy was a member of the Eastern Conference where the level of talent is inferior to the Western Conference? But since the Kings are in the West, Buddy has to go up against way too many talented candidates.

When looking at the guards in the West, it is just ridiculous. With just 12 spots available, most likely five or six of them being guards, the competition is just too steep for Buddy to make it. Of course, injuries could play a factor and Buddy could be fortunate to squeak his way into the roster, but it is unlikely where that scenario happens.

Buddy will have a great season with the Kings and will receive some All-Star votes along the way. But betting the house that he will make the All-Star team is a risk that should not be taken.
