Sacramento Kings: 3 Bold Predictions For Buddy Hield
By Rafe Wong
With the Sacramento Kings starting up their regular season in under 10 days, it is now a good time to make predictions towards their sharpshooter in Buddy Hield.
It is about to be that time, folks. Under 10 days remain until the Sacramento Kings begin their 2019-20 campaign. Unlike previous seasons, the Kings will enter this year with high expectations.
Last season, the Kings surprised many in the NBA world as their young talent helped them win 39 games, the most since the 2007-08 season, which had them fall short by one spot to contend in the postseason.
The holes that the Kings had on their roster last season were fulfilled this year as Vlade Divac and company acquired veteran role players that complimented the skill set of their youngsters. Although that makes the team more complete, the team will still have to rely on their youth if they want to achieve their goals. One player, in particular, is Buddy Hield.
Hield is a big reason why the Kings succeeded last season. With the team committing themselves to the fast-paced offense, it gave Buddy the chance to thrive as his relentless energy and lethal perimeter shooting anchored their offense.
Last year, Buddy averaged around 21 points and five rebounds a contest while making around 46% of his shots from the floor, 42% from the three-point line, and 88% from the free-throw stripe.
There is no doubt that Buddy had an amazing season with Sacramento last season, but for this upcoming year, he needs to be even better considering the team’s heightened expectations.
So with that said, what should be expected of Buddy as he enters the 2019-20 season? Here are three accomplishments that I believe Buddy will achieve.
