Player #1: Nemanja Bjelica

Right now, I have Nemanja Bjelica as the backup power forward for opening night. Compared to last season, this is a demotion for Bjelica. But it is not based on him declining but rather the rise of Marvin Bagley III.

For the Kings, Bjelica will be a good backup four due to his variety of skills on the offensive end. But with that said, I think the Kings are not completely sold on their #-year veteran. The skillset for Bjelica makes him an ideal stretch four for the purple and white, but he also makes for a good trade piece if the Kings have an opportunity to enhance their roster.

Right now, Bjelica is one of the best trade assets that the Kings have on their team. Like I mentioned above, his offensive skill set is versatile. The man can make perimeter shots at a solid clip and can also distribute the ball when necessary. Not only that, but the Kings are getting great value with the Serbian star as he is due to make just south of $7 million this year.

This year, the Kings will likely be active during the trade deadline, and if the opportunity comes where they can acquire someone that can take the team to the next level, I think Vlade Divac will heavily consider adding Bjelica’s name to the offer sheet to make it happen.
