The Sacramento Kings recently released information about Harry Giles’ health status. The third-year player was reported “out” as the team flies to India for their first two preseason games.
As the Sacramento Kings begin their preseason in India, two players from the team will not be joining the action. The first player is Tyler Ulis as he rests his groin injury, and the second player is Harry Giles who was reported to have issues with his knee.
Once the news hit the Kings community, concerns started to surface. Were the Kings just being conservative with their former first-round pick or is Giles feeling discomfort in his knee?
Not too long ago, Jason Anderson, Sacramento Bee writer, gave some clarity on the Giles situation. Harry had an MRI on his knee Monday and the results came out with nothing new.
Final Thoughts
It is a shame that Harry will not be joining his team in India. The trip would have been an eye-opening experience for him and a great opportunity for the team to bond with each other. But it will be good to know that Giles will begin his 2019-20 campaign healthy.
This season is a big one for Harry Giles. After two seasons with the Kings, he has shown his potential in flashes but has not been consistent. Now entering his third year, it is time for him to prove to the Kings that he belongs in their main rotation.
No more time for hype, it is time to show results.
