Did ESPN get it wrong when they left out Sacramento Kings’ forward Harrison Barnes off their list of top 100 players in the NBA?

Recently, ESPN published an article displaying who they think are the top 100 players in the NBA. So far, they have released who they think are the best players from the 51-100 range, and there have been a few players on the Sacramento Kings that have made the list. Players that made the list were Bogdan Bogdanovic at the 74th spot, Marvin Bagley III at 69th, Buddy Hield at 54th, and De’Aaron Fox at 25th.

So right now, it is projected that four players on the Kings will make ESPN’s top 100, but did they leave another guy on the purple and white off? They most certainly did, and that guy is Harrison Barnes. Here is my reason why.

Why Harrison Should Of Make The Ranks

Last season, Harrison was a solid asset for both the Kings and Dallas Mavericks. In the 77 games he played last year, he averaged around 16 points and five rebounds a contest and made around 42% of his shots from the floor and 40% from the perimeter.

Based on his track record and last campaign, Harrison should have been ranked higher than guys like Ja Morant, Dejounte Murray, P.J. Tucker, Derrick White, and more who made ESPN’s top 100. Not to say that those guys were not (or will be) good players for their squads, but I thought Harrison showed he was more efficient on both ends of the floor.

The way Harrison played last season makes him a starting small forward for almost any NBA team and a player that Sacramento is fortunate to have this season.
