Player #1: Yogi Ferrell

This one seems to be the most obvious. The current depth-chart order for the Kings at point guard is De’Aaron Fox, Cory Joseph, and Yogi Ferrell (in that order), so beating out the third-string facilitator would be ideal for Tyler Ulis to make the roster.

This will be a tough task for Ulis, however. Last season, Ferrell had success with the Kings as he was the backup point guard to Fox. Throughout the year, Ferrell occasionally provided a spark for the Kings off the bench with his ability to play fast and score the ball which led his team to rally back when they were trailing big.

When watching Ulis during his time with the Suns, he was able to give them the same type of production off the bench as scoring and facilitating the offense at a speedy rate fits his forte as well.

It is tough to predict which one of these two guards will come out victorious when the official roster gets released by Luke Walton and company. But one thing for sure is that this matchup will be highly coveted when the Kings begin their training camp.
