Vlade Divac has been the head of the Kings front office since early 2015, and many of his decisions and transactions have been met with criticism. Despite the scrutiny, Divac has the Kings set up for what looks like one of the brightest futures of any NBA team.

Divac originally took the job as an unqualified former franchise favorite, and the hiring was chastised and regarded as just another bad decision by the league’s laughing stock franchise. After a couple of rocky seasons and mixed results from his moves, it seems as though Vlade Divac has found his footing in running the Sacramento Kings front office over the past couple of years.

The bad decisions that he’s made have been so remarkably bad that it’s easy to make an argument for his good decisions being lucky ones. Divac certainly does not deserve all of the criticism he receives, but some of it may be warranted, especially if this promising rebuild does not go to plan.

A quote from Divac in the weeks after the DeMarcus Cousins’ trade has resurfaced recently, in which he said,

"“That’s my job, and I take responsibility…I believe we are going to be in a better position in two years. I want to hear again from these same people in two years. If I’m right, great. If I’m wrong, I’ll step down. But if I go down, I’m going down my way.”"

We chronicle some of the decisions that Vlade Divac has made in his tenure with the Sacramento Kings, both good and bad.
