Will Spurs Be Too Much For Kings?

The most crucial games for Sacramento this upcoming season are those in which they play against fellow 8th seed contenders. The team that will likely be battling the Kings all season for that final playoff spot is the San Antonio Spurs.

Luckily (or unluckily) for the Kings, they will get to see Gregg Popovich and the Spurs twice in one week down the home stretch of the schedule. The first matchup will be in the middle of yet another Kings homestand, their last of the season.

The final and most important matchup with the Spurs will come on April 7th in San Antonio. The game marks the beginning of an extremely important road trip for Sacramento, who will also play at Minnesota, Denver, and Los Angeles before finishing the season at home against Golden State.

It will be extremely important for the Kings to get off on the right foot for the road trip, and even more important to gain a game on San Antonio in the standings. Depending on how things shake out over the first 77 games of the season, this could be the Kings final chance to gain ground on the Spurs.
