Sacramento Kings: Five Games To Circle On ’19-’20 Schedule
Kings Visit New-Look Lakers
The dust that recently settled upon the Kings/Lakers rivalry has begun to be removed, due to the sudden upswing in talent by both franchises. A rivalry with a long list of signature moments had been lacking them for over a decade, until last season’s game-winner from Bogdan Bogdanovic gave Sacramento its only win of the year against the Lakers.
This season and beyond, look for the rivalry to be renewed, with a fresh pool of talent gracing both rosters.
What will Marvin Bagley and Dewayne Dedmon vs. Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee look like? Is LeBron going to play point guard and is De’Aaron Fox going to cover him? Can a much improved Kings bench outplay a far-less talented Lakers second unit?
The Kings will be looking to avenge a late-season loss to the Lakers last year that dulled their playoff hopes, and Laker fans are probably tired of seeing the video of Bogdanovic’s game-winner.
Look for the Kings to enter the game with confidence as they come off of a road trip on which they should take two out of three games. This game will set the tone for the other three times that these teams will matchup this season, including the next-to-last game of the year.
