Despite the Sacramento Kings being overlooked once again by the NBA schedule makers, there are still a handful of marquee games throughout the season that are worth circling on the calendar.

There is plenty of hype surrounding the Sacramento Kings for the upcoming season. They were one of the big surprises last year, improving by 12 games from the previous season. Despite a shaky finish down the stretch, the Kings were able to turn enough heads to garner some respect throughout the league.

They play an up-tempo style and are loaded with youth and athleticism. Third-year point guard De’Aaron Fox will look to continue his improvement, and his backcourt running mate Buddy Hield is coming off one of the best 3-point shooting seasons in NBA history. Young guys like Marvin Bagley and Harry Giles will be looking to not only reach their sky-high potential but surpass it, and newly signed Cory Joseph and Trevor Ariza bring veteran presences to the locker room as well as extensive playoff experience.

They will be one of the most exciting teams to watch for the upcoming season, just one year after ESPN’s Zach Lowe foolishly ranked the Kings as the least watchable team going in to ’18-’19. The lesson was apparently learned, as ESPN and their analysts have been mostly high on the potential for Sacramento to be a breakout team for the upcoming season.

We’ll break down the season’s most important matchups and predict the most meaningful games of the ’19-’20 season for the Sacramento Kings.
