Player #1: Bogdan Bogdanovic

This is a player that the Sacramento Kings and their fans are hoping will have a great season. After finishing his rookie season with promise, Bogdan Bogdanovic was expected to be even better going into his sophomore year.

Unfortunately, that was not the case as injuries and playing out of his natural position impacted Bogdan’s efficiency on the court. Even though the game averages were solid for the Serbian star, his performance overall was disappointing.

But now that the Kings’ roster is more balanced and they have a head coach that fits his playing style, there is high hope that Bogdan will rebound this upcoming season.

How Bogdan plays this year will determine whether Vlade Divac and company want to keep him around for the long haul. Whether they see him as part of the main core that the Kings want to build around.

Also, Bogdan’s three-year contract, worth around $27 million, will be up once the 2019-20 season ends. He does have a qualifying offer for the next year which will pay him around $11 million, but I am sure Bogi is looking to seal another long-term deal.

If he shows this season that he can be a reliable shooter and playmaker for the Kings, whether it comes off the bench or with the starting lineup, I believe Vlade will start to discuss with Bogi about his future with the team.
