Final Thoughts

There will be a plethora of Sacramento Kings talent that grace the rosters of nations participating in the 2019 FIBA World Cup. Not mentioned previously is Isaiah Pineiro, who will be playing for Team Puerto Rico. Pineiro is a Sacramento native and is worth keeping an eye on for that fact alone.

The Kings players that are participating in this year’s tournament are subjecting themselves to an immense amount of travel. The 14-hour one-way flight to Beijing will be tough in itself. Just a couple of weeks after the players return, the Kings will fly to Mumbai, India for a set of preseason games.

While experience and development should be the goals of the participating players, staying healthy and as fresh as possible will be crucial to Sacramento’s regular-season success.
