The love for Sacramento Kings’ young point guard De’Aaron Fox continues. This time around, the praise is coming from elite head coach Steve Kerr.
De’Aaron Fox has represented the Sacramento Kings well this summer. Especially in the last couple of weeks, the young guard has made his presence known at Team USA’s training camp.
Once camp started, Fox was placed on the program’s select team which scrimmages against Team USA. But shortly after that, he got promoted to the first team and now has a good chance to compete at the upcoming FIBA World Cup in China.
Throughout this summer, many have raved about how Fox continues to get better, and the latest person to commend the 21-year old is Golden State Warriors‘ head coach Steve Kerr.
In a recent interview that Kerr had at Team USA’s camp, he was asked about the progress Fox has made the last couple of weeks. And this is what he told James Ham, Kings’ insider, in that interview.
Final Thoughts
After De’Aaron Fox had a so-so rookie year, the verdict was up in the air whether he was worth the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. But once his sophomore season came along, those concerns immediately disappeared as his ability to run an offense and become an elite two-way player became legit.
Fox has the chance to become an All-Star player in the league and continues to be on the trajectory to make that a reality. The Kings are hoping that is the case as the franchise is banking on him to be their core piece for many years to come.
