The Sacramento Kings have a bevy of talented young players on their team, and some of those guys were able to make the Best 23 Under 23 list.

A big season is ahead for the Sacramento Kings. After coming off an improving year, finishing with a record of 39-43, the mission now is to make the playoffs this upcoming campaign.

A major reason why the Kings have such high expectations is due to the play of their young talent. There is no doubt that Sacramento is banking on their youth to develop into great players, and so far, they are on pace to achieve that objective.

People outside of the Kings organization are starting to notice the uprise of the Sacramento youngsters as well. Not too long ago, Bleacher Report made their list of the NBA’s best 23 players under 23 years of age, and two players from the Kings made the list.

The players featured in the article were Marvin Bagley III and De’Aaron Fox. For Bagley, the rookie is ranked 13th on the list due to the effort he showed on defense and his ability to be an efficient scorer in the interior.

For Fox, Bleacher Report had him at third on the list. In the article, writer Dan Favale raved about Fox’s ability to facilitate an offense and how he will continue to get better as his career moves on, making him a nightmare for opponents.

Final Thoughts

After years of the Sacramento Kings being the joke of the NBA, it is refreshing to see the purple and white getting their respect for once. I guess playing good basketball will earn that?

For the Kings, how their youth develops will be key to how successful their rebuild will end up. If both Fox and Bagley can live up to their potential, as well as other young players on Sacramento, there is no doubt they will become a dominant team in the next upcoming years.
