Power Forwards
First Off The Bench: Nemanja Bjelica
Last season, Nemanja Bjelica had a good season with the Kings as their starting power forward, but with Marvin Bagley III on the rise, Bjelica will probably be demoted to the bench.
For the Kings, this will be good for their second unit. Bjelica last year proved to be an asset for the Kings on the offensive end. By being the team’s stretch four, Bjelica was a threat beyond the perimeter and created space for the overall offense to function better. Not only that, but Bjelica was a smart player who for the most part made the right decisions when on the court.
Last year, Bjelica was both a starter and bench player throughout the campaign and was effective in both roles. Hopefully, that is the case again this season.
Other Option: Tyler Lydon
Tyler Lydon signed with the Kings this summer as both parties agreed on a two-year contract. Lydon has not had much experience in the NBA, but his skillset compliments what the Kings are looking for.
For Lydon, he is another stretch four that can space the floor and make perimeter shots at a decent clip. However, with Bagley and Bjelica being ahead of him on the depth chart, Lydon will not see much time on the court this season.
