Small Forward

First Off The Bench: Trevor Ariza

There is no other option here. With Harrison Barnes already taking the starting small forward spot, Trevor Ariza is the only other three on the team. But with that said, having Ariza as the backup small forward will benefit the Kings.

Throughout his career, Ariza has been a solid starting small forward. But now that he is at the tail end of his career, those days are over. But with that said, Ariza can still be a reliable backup. He brings valuable experience, especially in the playoffs, and at times can be a solid 3-and-D player.

Last season, the Kings had little to zero depth at small forward to begin their season. But now they are in much better shape with the duo of Barnes and Ariza at the helm.

Other Option: Justin James

Although Justin James‘ main position is shooting guard, he will likely have to adjust to small forward. At least with Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic still on the team.

For James, he will likely see most of his playing time with the Stockton Kings this year, but can still make an on-court appearance with the Kings if either Barnes or Ariza are unable to play.
