Let us analyze how the three Sacramento Kings players played during a recent Team USA scrimmage.

Three players from the Sacramento Kings played in an exhibition game with Team USA last Friday in Las Vegas. The teams were divided up into Team Blue and Team White. De’Aaron Fox and Harrison Barnes were assigned to Team Blue while Marvin Bagley III played for Team White.

Fox Starts Game Fast

During the game, Fox utilized his speed which had him convert on several fastbreak opportunities successfully. De’Aaron was one of the early reasons why Team Blue had the lead early in the game.

For the night, Fox finished with 12 points in just 15 minutes of action. Although Fox was efficient in scoring the ball, he did not showcase his jump shot as the only time he attempted a shot was when he made a turnaround jumper to begin the contest.

Bagley Showcases Bounce

Now, let us analyze how the young rookie did. Marvin did show his range as he attempted a handful of shots just inside the three-point line. He also displayed his quick bounce throughout the game as he was grabbing rebounds and finishing off second-chance points.

Bagley was also able to make a hook shot with his right hand, his nondominant hand! For the game, he finished with eight points on 3/11 shooting in 17 minutes.

Barnes Has A Quiet Night

Out of the three Kings, Harrison Barnes got the least amount of action. For the night, Barnes only got 14 minutes on the court which resulted in him scoring just five points.

Evaluating The Three Kings

Overall, it was fun to see Fox use his speed throughout the game, proving once again that he is one of the fastest players in the NBA. Hopefully, he can continue to gain confidence on the perimeter and start making the long ball.

For Fox, he needs to keep working on his perimeter shot going into the upcoming season. If he is more consistent from that area, he will be a dominant force on the offensive end.

Bagley, on the other hand, decided to drop out of Team USA after Friday’s scrimmage. This means he probably wants to get fully prepared for the upcoming season with Sacramento and also wants to avoid any serious injuries. Bagley is one of the next players on the Kings to make that leap of improvement. Let us hope that is the case this year.

For Barnes, he needs to get more touches on offense for the United States. For this team, he will be one of the more experienced guys on the squad. Hopefully, he can gain confidence in himself which will help both Team USA and the Kings going forward.
