Buddy Hield In inarguably one of the best shooters in the NBA, but this year he’ll take it to the next level and break the NBA’s single-season three-point record.

Last season, Buddy Hield set a franchise record for most three-point field goals in a season. This year, he takes the league’s.

And, after hitting the seventh most in a single season last campaign, it’s not as far-fetched as you think. With that said though, Hield has to take massive steps in his attempts per game if he wants to make (more) NBA history.

Last season Hield’s 278 three pointers put him fourth for last season, with Paul George, James Harden and Stephen Curry all hitting more than him in 2018-19. The single season record? An astounding 402.

That means, Hield will need to hit 124 more three’s next year. Difficult? Absolutely. Impossible? Not hardly.

From 2017-18 to 2018-19, Hield hit 102 more three’s on 243 more attempts. Next season he’ll likely need to attempt more than 10 three’s per game (Curry attempted 11.2 in his record-setting season), and maintain his efficiency.

Next. When will Sacramento’s playoff window open?. dark

Will any of these happen? Probably not. But that fact they’re even possibilities is a massive step forward for a team that’s been mired in mediocrity for the better part of the last two decades.
