Today, the NBA released their 2019-20 regular-season schedule which revealed a tough truth for those hoping for national recognition for the Sacramento Kings.

Today, the NBA revealed the schedule for their 2019-20 regular season. And for Sacramento Kings fans, there is little to good news present.

Nationally-televised games are a rarity for the Kings. Last season, TNT was kind enough to broadcast just a single game showcasing the purple and white when they played against the Los Angeles Clippers at the end of November.

Given the improvement of the Kings and their exciting style of play, they deserve at least a small handful of nationally-televised contests for this upcoming season.

Unfortunately, the NBA thought otherwise.

Kings Gets Snubbed Of Nationally-Televise Games

The upstart Kings received the exact amount of national game as they did last season. Only one. That game will be against the New Orleans Pelicans in the middle of March on ESPN. The Kings will not be present on either TNT or ABC during the regular season.

This should be bulletin-board material for Sacramento. After a season in which they improved their win total by a whopping 12 games compared to their previous campaign, they attracted attention and respect from the rest of the league. But that does not matter in terms of the disrespect they received when their schedule came out.

For people who want to see the Kings play this season, they will have to turn to either NBC Sports California or NBA League Pass once again. This will be another year where the Kings will play under the radar.
