Sacramento Kings: Predicting The 2019-20 Starting Lineup
By Rafe Wong
Power Forward: Marvin Bagley III
This prediction will please Sacramento Kings fans a lot. It is finally time to unleash Marvin Bagley III and see how he will perform with the starting five.
It was up in the air on how Bagley would fare in his rookie year due to being inconsistent during summer league and preseason. Fortunately, for Kings fans, Bagley was great throughout the campaign as he was the team’s best player in the interior.
In 62 games, Bagley averaged around 15 points and eight rebounds a game while he made around 50% of his baskets from the floor. All of this while averaging just around 25 minutes of playing time a night.
Marvin Bagley is the REAL DEAL. Entering the draft, the sky was the limit for him due to his combination of athleticism, skillset, and motor as a player. And with the rookie showcasing a steady rate of improvement throughout his rookie season, there is high optimism for him to continue that trend into his sophomore season, especially since he is likely going to get more minutes with the starting lineup and on the floor in general.
This will be an exciting year for Marvin Bagley. He proved last season to be a dominant force as a bench player, so let us see what he can do when he starts games.
