Shooting Guard: Buddy Hield
For shooting guard, the two players that have a chance for the starting spot are Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic. But in the end, there was no way I was keeping Buddy out of the starting five.
Since Vivek Ranadive became the Sacramento Kings’ majority owner, the team has been in search for their ideal shooting guard. A player that can move well without the ball in his hands and making perimeter shots at a consistent rate, while showing relentless effort on the defensive end.
Since the Kings traded for Buddy in 2017, he has been that optimal two guard for the purple and white, especially last season when he was their leading scorer averaging almost 21 points a night while he made 46% of his shots from the floor, 43% from the three-point line, and 89% from the free-throw stripe.
With Buddy already proving himself to be the epitome of what the Kings are looking for to pair with De’Aaron Fox, he should and will be the starting two guard when the regular season begins.
