After enduring a busy NBA offseason, Sacramento Kings’ general manager Vlade Divac finally gets to sit back and enjoy his summer.

The NBA is coming off arguably their most exciting offseason ever due to the player movement made by the league’s best. Unfortunately, the Sacramento Kings were unable to land any of the league’s top-tier players, but with that said, the summer was still busy and successful for the purple and white.

Reviewing Vlade’s Summer

Vlade Divac, the mastermind behind the Kings’ personnel moves the last few years, had himself a summer.

It started with the NBA Draft where Divac selected three shooting guards in the second round. So far, Kyle Guy, who was taken with the 55th pick, has been the rookie who has shined for the team so far.

Once free agency came along, Divac was able to lure five players to the Kings in Trevor Ariza, Harrison Barnes, Dewayne Dedmon, Richaun Holmes, and Cory Joseph. All five of these guys are coming in off good deals and filling a need that Sacramento had before the offseason began.

Vlade Gets His Break

The last few months have been hectic for Vlade Divac and company, and as a result, a vacation was needed by the Kings legend. Just a few days ago, Vlade finally got his break as he posted on Instagram a picture of himself enjoying the summer for the first time this year.

Also, Kings’ sharpshooter Buddy Hield could not help himself and sent Vlade a comment on how he should enjoy his time off from the office. Check the comment section to find out.

Final Thoughts

It is unknown whether Divac’s offseason moves will pay off or not. But right now, the Kings look like a team that is in position to make a good run for the playoffs this upcoming season.

If the new Kings can live up to their contracts, as well as the team’s youngsters continuing to improve in their developments, then there is no doubt that the Kings will break their 13-year postseason drought next year.
