De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley III will join Harrison Barnes as the group of Sacramento Kings who will be present in the Team USA training camp before the FIBA World Cup.

Not too long ago, Sacramento Kings’ forward Harrison Barnes committed to joining the training camp roster for Team USA. During that time, the program will be in preparation for the upcoming FIBA World Cup which will be played around the end of August till the middle of September.

But Barnes will not be the only King present during the training camp. Rumors surfaced that De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley III would be part of the Team USA Select Team, the team scrimmaging against the actual Team USA. And now the young duo have officially made the roster.

Could Fox And Bagley Make The WC?

With a handful of players already dropping their names from the World Cup roster, it gives the chance for young players in the training camp to impress the coaches and maybe even make the team.

For Fox and Bagley, this would be a great opportunity for them. Even if they do not make this year’s World Cup roster, leaving a good impression could help them in the future when the World Cup comes back in 2023. Maybe then Fox and Bagley will be NBA All-Stars and be shoo-ins for a spot on the team.

Final Thoughts

The last time the Sacramento Kings were represented in the FIBA World Cup was when DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay played in the tournament in 2014. The pair were able to help the United States win the gold medal as they defeated Serbia in the finals.

Hopefully, Harrison can earn a spot on the team, as well as De’Aaron and Marvin making a good impression during training camp.
