#5 Seed: Los Angeles Lakers

To the enjoyment of most NBA fans, especially Sacramento Kings fans, the Los Angeles Lakers had a disappointing first season with LeBron James as they finished with a record of #-# and missed the playoffs by # games.

But this summer, the Lakers’ front office finally got smarter as they were able to add better talent around The King.

It started when the team traded most of their young assets for superstar big Anthony Davis. The Lakers then went on to free agency as they added guys like DeMarcus Cousins, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, and more to help surround shooters for LeBron.

With new players coming to the Lakers left and right, it will take time for the new roster to gain chemistry on the court. But once the beginning stages of the NBA season are through, I do expect the Lakers to become a strong team in the conference.

I do not know whether the Lakers will be a contender for the title, but they definitely have the talent to be one. If all their new signings live up to their expectations, then expect the Lakers to make a deep playoff run next year.
