#2 Seed: Utah Jazz
Last season, the Utah Jazz finished their regular season with a record of 50-32 which gave them the fifth seed in the playoffs. Unfortunately, their postseason run ended short as they lost to the Houston Rockets in five games during the first round of the tournament.
For the last few years, the Utah Jazz have been a tough team in the West due to their length, grit, and good execution on both ends of the floor. During this offseason, the Jazz made some moves which in the end seemed to have bolstered their already strong roster.
The biggest acquisitions that the Jazz made this summer was trading for Mike Conley Jr. from the Memphis Grizzlies and luring away sharpshooter Bojan Bogdanovic from the Indiana Pacers by signing him to a four-year deal worth around $73 million. The team was also able to add solid assets like Jeff Green and Emmanuel Mudiay to strengthen their bench.
The Jazz had an amazing summer as they were able to add two great players while still keeping their main core in tack. When looking at their roster, it is super deep. A starting lineup of Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Bogdanovic, and Rudy Gobert, while having guys like Green, Dante Exum, and Ed Davis off their bench makes up a formidable roster for the upcoming season.
Will this be the year the Jazz finally breakout?
