#1 Seed: Los Angeles Clippers
The pairing of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George immediately put the Los Angeles Clippers in contention for next year’s NBA title and beyond. The team also brought back solid assets like pesky Patrick Beverely, JaMychal Green, and Ivica Zubac to help the team’s new 1-2 punch succeed. Also, there is this guard the Clippers have named Lou Williams who is also one of the best sixth men in the NBA.
Last season, Doc Rivers and the Clippers surprised the league as their grit and effort collectively earned them a record of 48-34 and the eighth seed in the playoffs. That team also was able to give the dynasty Golden State Warriors a run for their money in the first round as they won two playoff games in the series.
This summer, the Clippers have pretty much brought back the same squad that had success last campaign, but they also added two stars in Leonard and George. It was a surprise last year that the Clippers were so good. But now going into the new year, it will be a surprise if they are not one of the top contenders for the NBA title.
