Shooting Guard: Bogdan Bogdanovic

Despite entering just his third NBA season, Bogdan Bogdanovic will be 27-years old and is the anchor of the Kings’ second unit. His experience both in his first two NBA seasons and through playing professionally in Europe gives the Kings a leader and viable scoring option off the bench.

Bogi averaged around 14 points per game last season which was an upgrade compared to the 11 points he contributed in his rookie year. He has the ability to fill in as a starter as well, having been in the starting lineup in 70 of his 148 career games.

Bogdan hit a cold streak during the Kings’ playoff push last season that has some people wary of his worth to the team. From late February to late March, Bogdanovic scored just single digits in eight of his 13 games, having done so in just seven of his previous 44 contests. With a lightened load and lower usage rate due to the deeper bench, the hope this season for Bogi is to maintain a 15 points per game average throughout February and March.
