Even though Kyle Guy was able to have another strong summer showing, the Sacramento Kings received their first loss in Las Vegas.

The Sacramento Kings have been rolling during their last couple of games in summer league. It started with a blowout win against the Chinese National Team and later on with a comeback win against the Dallas Mavericks.

But now the Kings are back from cloud nine as they lost a close one to the Houston Rockets yesterday by a score of 94-92. Pretty much the score was close throughout the entire game, but the Rockets did just enough in the end to put themselves on top.

Top players for the Kings were Justin James who recorded eight points, six rebounds, and four assists, Wenyen Gabriel who scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Kyle Guy who scored 16 points and dished out three assists.

The Consistency Of Kyle Guy

Including both the Las Vegas Summer League and California Summer Classic, it has been six straight games where Kyle Guy has flourished in a Sacramento Kings uniform.

Although it is not uncommon to see players here and there be consistently efficient in summer league, many do not see it often from a guy coming fresh from the second round of the draft. But then again Kyle Guy seems like a different type of player.

The way Guy continues to play keeps giving the Kings and their fans more optimism for what the future holds. If the Virginia guard continues to improve, the Kings will have another smart and reliable shooter at their guard spot for many years to come.
