The Kings Are All In On Their Youth

Aside from signing Richaun Holmes, the free agents that the Kings brought in are established role players. This is an indication that the Kings want to make their youth the centerpiece of their team going forward as they should. Veteran players who know how to win and do not have the motive to replace the youngster’s spots in the rotation are the ideal pickups for the Kings in the current stage of their rebuild.

For the Kings, this year is crucial. After surprising the NBA by finishing the season with a 39-43 record, they have become a team that is on the rise. The next step to making strides is making the playoffs next season. If not, then the year is a bust.

Hopefully, the free agents that the Kings have acquired will help their youth progress in their developments. If guys like De’Aaron Fox, Marvin Bagley III, Buddy Hield, and more are able to make another leap of improvement, then the Kings will not only become a playoff team in their future but a contender to represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals one day.
