Sacramento Kings: 3 Qualities To Like About Justin James
By Rafe Wong
Reason #3: Versatility Down The Road
In the last slide, I mentioned how James’ physical measurements can help him become impactful on the defensive end of the court. Well, I also think it can help him become a versatile player for the Kings as well.
Although James is most comfortable playing shooting guard, I also think he is capable of being effective in playing small forward. James will need to get bigger and stronger to handle his own against NBA wings, but young players usually improve in this part of the game throughout time.
James’ size is not the only reason why I think he can play the three, but his game too. James showed in college that he can play off the ball, score in a variety of ways, and can rebound the ball.
With Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic already being the Kings’ shooting guards now and probably for the future, Vlade Divac might be planning for James to play the three for Sacramento. If successful, James would add much-needed depth at the three for the Kings considering they have no pure small forward at the moment.
