Players #5: Jaylen Nowell

The last player on this list is Jaylen Nowell from the University of Washington. During his time with the Huskies, Nowell was consistent for them as a combo guard.

In his latest season, Nowell averaged around 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists per match and made around 50% of his shots from the floor, 44% from the perimeter, and 78% from the free-throw line.

On the offensive end, Nowell did various things for the Huskies. He was a guy who could score on his own or by getting set up by others. Nowell was also known as a reliable spot-up shooter from three, could create plays for others, and can bully smaller opponents when driving to the basket.

As for his defense, Nowell was pretty solid in this aspect of the game due to his strength and motivation to produce on that end of the floor.

Although Nowell is not a pure point guard, he could have been a solid option to eventually become De’Aaron Fox’s backup in the future. When analyzing Nowell’s game, he is a guy who could have contributed in various ways for the Kings on both ends of the floor.

A player who would have added more versatility to Sacramento’s guard spot.
