Why Jerome Would Be A Steal

They called him Mr. Dependable when he was with the Virginia Cavaliers. The College champs of 2019 had a bevy of contributors who helped them win. But Jerome was key as he was a great steady hand who had fantastic leadership qualities.

Although Jerome will need to add strength along with muscle, most college players fall in this category. In the second round, Jerome could be NBA ready as a role player by the middle of the season. He has a high basketball IQ along with the intangibles that do not always show up at the NBA combine.

Breaking Down Jerome’s Numbers

In this recent collegiate season with the Cavaliers, Jerome averaged around 14 points, six assists, and four rebounds a contest and made around 44% of his shots from the floor and 40% of his shots from the three-point stripe.

Jerome is also a guy that can play both guard positions well as he can be an efficient scorer but also someone who makes the correct decisions when facilitating the offense.

Another reason why I think Jerome would be a steal for the Kings is what he can do on the defensive end. Standing at 6’5″, Jerome would be the tallest point guard the Kings would have on their roster, and with his length and toughness, has the potential to be a lockdown defender when he gets stronger.

Lastly, Jerome is a player who is not afraid of taking the big shots in big games.  This is a trait that cannot be taught. Either you have it or you do not. Ty’s confidence without being arrogant makes him appealing for coaching staffs.
