The Sacramento Kings are reportedly in the market for a center, and there’s three free agents that stand out above the rest — and not just because they’re tall.

Are the Sacramento Kings moving on from incumbent center Willie Cauley-Stein? It sure seems that way.

On Tuesday, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the Sacramento Kings are “prioritizing” a Center in free agency. The report doesn’t mention any players, but the Kings have already been linked to Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic.

What will Willie Cauley-Stein command in free agency?. light. Related Story

Regardless, the Sacramento Kings seem to be headed into free agency pursuing a replacement for Willie Cauley-Stein, who is also a free agent and had an inconsistent season, er, career, with the Kings.

With nearly $40 million in cap space headed into free agency, the Kings aren’t constrained to bargain-bin center shopping and could very well dole out big money to make a push for the playoffs; especially since the team unceremoniously fired Dave Joerger after he led them to their most wins in a decade.

While the question of ‘how much’ the Kings should pay is open to debate, who they should target is a far less difficult question.
