According to recent news, the Sacramento Kings could be in play for Marcus Morris. But how does his game fit with the current roster?

Free agency is just around the corner, which means that the rumors will be spiraling around the NBA world. Just not too long ago, the news came out about which teams will be interested in power forward Marcus Morris this free agency. One of these teams being the Sacramento Kings.

Is Marcus Morris A Good Fit In Sacramento?

Morris brings a defense-first attitude with the ability to cover both the power and small forward positions. For this reason alone, he would be a great addition for Sacramento.

The Kings have no shortage of power forwards and it is not the biggest need to address, but defense is always a need and Morris can bring that production for the purple and white. Anytime you can upgrade your team without having to give up key players is a no brainer, in my opinion.

Sacramento needs to add players who can bring the mental toughness that they lacked last season. Morris also fits this bill and would fit well with the core group in Sacramento. Morris is a guy who can come off the bench to anchor the second unit or when the defense needs help. You know what you are getting when he plays.

Final Thoughts

Vlade Divac now has his coach, so now it is time to find players that can play well with his current roster. Right now, the Kings do need some toughness and defense at the power forward spot, and Marcus Morris can fit that need is he continues to play the way he has in the last couple of years.
