Should The Sacramento Kings Take A Chance On Tacko Fall?
By John Kelly
The Sacramento Kings brought Tacko Fall in for a pre-draft workout, but should they seriously consider drafting him?
Will Tacko Fall be a dominant force in the NBA next year? Will he ever be a force in the NBA? The answer is a resounding “maybe”. The truth is when you are 7’6”, you will garner interest from an organization willing to gamble. But he is certainly a long shot to make an impact on an NBA team.
Tacko Fall at a glance:
- Position: Center
- Height: 7’6”
- Wingspan: 8’25”
- Weight: 289 pounds
- Age: 23
- Projected Draft Range: Late Second Round to Undrafted
- ESPN Top-100 Ranking: 75
Sacramento got a look at his dunking ability, stamina, and his shooting touch, er, lack of shooting touch in a latest pre-draft workout that they hosted. Perhaps more important than all of that though, is the conversation Fall and the Kings organization had with each other.
Does Tacko have the work ethic and drive to make the leap to the next level? Tacko’s answer has to be a firm “yes” because without an unquestionable drive, Fall will most definitely not pass the G-League level if he does not have the passion to improve.
Let us take a look at what experts think about where Tacko lands (if he does) in the upcoming draft.
