Reason #1: Reliable Asset
Tobias Harris has not been selected to an All-Star game yet, but with that said, he would still be a major asset for the Kings.
Throughout his career, eight seasons, Harris has been on five different teams. In all those stops in Harris’ journey, he has been an asset for those squads and has improved his game as time went on.
What makes Harris an asset is his consistency and ability to be effective on both ends of the court. When analyzing Harris, he is the prototypical 3-and-D wing player that produces the same results night in and night out that NBA teams clamor for.
Offensively, Harris has shown to be a versatile scorer. He has the ability to score in the interior whether it is posting up against defenders or driving to the paint. As for his perimeter game, Harris has polished his three-point shot as he made well over 40% of his threes in the last two years.
Defensively, Harris has the ideal measurements and athleticism to effectively defend the majority of players in the league. And based on his track record, he has done a solid job in handling his own even against the NBA’s elite when he is assigned to guard them.
If the Kings do sign Harris, it adds another reliable guy to their roster. Throughout his career, Harris has proven he can be a two-way asset for any team which gives me the belief that he can provide the same production if he comes to Sacramento.
