The Sacramento Kings may not have a first-round pick, but they are doing their due diligence when it comes to who could be available in the second round.

The next stage for the Sacramento Kings’ offseason is what they decide to do in next month’s NBA Draft. The purple and white do not have a first-round pick in the event, but rather three picks in the second round.

With the draft approaching closer by the day, the Kings have hosted a total of three pre-draft workouts already within the last couple of days, with more workouts to be hosted in the upcoming days and weeks.

Just this Monday, the Kings had their first draft workout for the offseason. Fast forward to today, and the Kings had back-to-back workouts with a list of prospects that caught their interest.

Although it was probably discouraging for Vlade Divac and company not to have a first-round pick next month (at least at the moment), their actions and efforts are showing that they still have full belief in themselves to have a successful draft.

Final Thoughts

This year’s draft will not be as exciting as recent ones due to the Kings not having a top pick in the event. But the Kings are still working hard to make sure they are prepared for next month.

With the purple and white powering through workouts this week, it will give them a better idea of whether there could be some hidden gems when they are on the clock next June. It has happened before for Sacramento when they selected All-Star Isaiah Thomas with the last pick in the 2011 draft.

Can the Kings strike luck again?
