Admiral Schofield: SG/SF from Tennessee

Admiral Schofield was a popular figure during this year’s college tournament and for good reason. The man was electrifying to watch while with the Tennessee Volunteers as he was a bonafide scorer for the team.

This season, Schofield was able to average around 17 points, six rebounds, and two assists per game while making around 47% of his shots from the floor, 42% of his three-point attempts, and 70% of his shots from the free-throw line.

In his career playing for Tennessee, four years, Schofield averaged around 12 points, five rebounds, and one assist per match while he made around 46% of his shots from the court, 39% from the perimeter, and 76% from the charity stripe.

If the Kings were to select Schofield in the draft, he is a guy that brings more versatility to the team. Although his game is better suited as a two guard, he does have the ability to be an asset as a wing player due to his size and athleticism.

Offensively, I believe Schofield can help the Kings by being someone who can space the floor due to his reliable perimeter shooting and movement without the basketball in his hands. As for the defensive end, Schofield rebounds well for his position but that is pretty much it. He definitely needs to improve as a defender, but I believe he has the physical tools, motor, and intangibles to eventually become a benefit on that side of the ball.

Overall, taking Schofield in the second round would be a good risk for the Kings. The guy is a smart player with a great work ethic who has the tools to become a 3-and-D guy at the professional level if put in the right situation.
